Michael Tang
Chief Executive Officer
As Chief Executive Officer of The Location Company, Michael
Tang is responsible for the execution of the company's
strategy, a role which he has assumed in 1999, when he
and his fellow directors acquired Tracker HK, Hong Kong's
first location-specific radio frequency network for stolen
vehicle tracking and recovery, and launched the LES industry
in Hong Kong. Since then Michael has had primary responsibility
for management and motivation of the staff that has driven
the company's explosive growth, financial performance
and other key elements of the company's successful development.
Before joining Tracker HK, Michael was the Director of the Asia Trade Exchange, a Canadian based trade promotions company offering PRC companies full trade and business services both regionally and in North America. Michael successfully set up the company's headquarters in Hong Kong and established offices in Taipei, Guangzhou and Shenyang. Under Michael's leadership, Asia Trade Exchange quickly became one of the most successful firms to enable Asian companies to do business in North America.
An accountant by training, Michael graduated with an Honours Degree in Economics and Accountancy from City University, London, He started his professional career with Price Waterhouse where he worked in audit and then corporate recovery, making a name for himself as a corporate re-structuring specialist.
